Emma's journey to midwifery began while studying anthropology at the University of Delaware, where she was inspired by the diverse cultural approaches to childbirth. As a next step, she pursued nursing and worked as a surgical/trauma nurse at UVA Health before transitioning to labor, and delivery at VCU Health in 2020, which deepended her passion for women's health. Emma recently earned her MSN from Frontier Nursing University and is now a licensed Certified Nurse-Midwife. She completed her clinical rotation at Hygge Wellness and was drawn to its holistic, patient-centered care.
She grew up in Charlottesville, VA so although she is new to Harrisonburg, she is familiar with what the Shenandoah Valley has to offer. In her free time, she loves to take long walks with her dog, Tito, explore new cultures, and find peace on her yoga mat.
